Love Yourself

It doesn’t mean you want to stay overweight or out of shape, but accepting where you are and taking measures to get to where you want to be. Instead of focusing on your flaws and hating yourself for them, learn to accept them and do what it takes to make yourself into the person you want to be. Self-loathing should never be a part of any fitness program.

Get moving and enjoy life to its fullest.

Your body was meant to move and you’ll feel better every time you do. In today’s computerized civilization with energy saving appliances and rapid transportation, we don’t get many opportunities to move very often. Instead of walking, we take the car and have our clothes washed mechanically. There’s no chopping wood or other labor intense work to do. The body needs exercise to be at its best. Exercise stimulates blood flow, increases natural antioxidants to protect cells and makes you have more endurance, strength and flexibility to avoid injury. You’ll feel good when you exercise regularly.

Exercise can boost your self-esteem, improve your self-image and self-confidence.

Studies show that even before you see results, just starting a fitness program can improve your self-image. While you exercise, you’re stimulating the brain to create hormones that make you feel fantastic. As you start to feel stronger and look great, you’ll have improved posture that not only makes you look confident, it adds confidence. You’ll feel far better about yourself and really start to love the person you are. Of course, you have to have self love in order to want to do things that make you healthier and feel better.

Eating healthier is important for any fitness program.

You are what you eat and that should be natural healthy foods. When you love yourself you know you deserve the best. Eating healthy means eating foods that are least processed. It means adding lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet and getting all the good nutrition they offer. It doesn’t mean dieting, because dieting deprives you and leaves you hungry. When you eat healthy, you won’t ever feel hungry and can even have a bit of “forbidden” foods you love. You’ll find your tastes change and many of the foods you love now will no longer be palatable.

Drink plenty of water. Water is one of the best elixirs for good health and beauty. It flushes out toxins, helps give you energy and even can eliminate migraines.

Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get the results you want. Be thankful for those you see. If you wanted to lose five pounds but only lost one, don’t worry. Lots of things affect the amount of weight you lose. As long as you’re following a healthy diet and regular exercise you’ll see results.

Feel the joy after you workout. You’ll burn off the hormones of stress that can leave you feeling bad and mentally foggy, while replacing those with ones that make you feel good and at peace.

Don’t forget to laugh a lot. Laughter is one of the best medicines. Make it a point to find something joyful in each day.
